Berlin property management automates the entire accounting process
Document audit. For many property managers, the annual audit is a tiresome topic.
Before an owners' meeting, thousands of invoices, bank statements and receipts often have to be picked out of folders and sorted into an audit folder. This has also been the case with the Property management Hauschild based in Berlin and Magdeburg. "For each document check, we up to 2000 pages of documents ", says Stefan Kluge, Head of Accounting at Hauschild. Errors can easily occur when checking so much data.
For example, if an invoice amount does not show the correct amount in the document check because the invoice has to be split. "If an error creeps in, we have to correct it as quickly as possible," explains Kluge, 41. The advisory boards then have to be provided with the correct version as quickly as possible.
The property management company often carried out the document check together with the advisory boards. "This usually took half a day. One employee was busy with this - in addition to their own document check." That wasn't convenient, says Kluge. "It's important to the advisory boards that the document check is simple and clear."

And if an error has crept in, it can be corrected immediately, says Kluge: "I can immediately changethe posting of an invoice to the correct G/L account."
Managing Director Michel Hauschild is also convinced by Impower. "With the new software, fewer employees are required for the same work. And new employees can be trained easily because the program is very easy to understand." Another advantage is the elimination of the local server: the new ERP system is cloud-based, which means that work can be done not only in the office, but also in the home office or on the road. "Our IT costs have gone down because we no longer have to maintain a server," says Hauschild.
